Metro-reported auto thefts

Auto thefts reported in Metro's jurisdiction have been on the decline for two years. Through the end of July, 7,000 vehicles had been stolen — down nearly one-third from the same period last year. This map shows the change in thefts by police beat in June/July 2008 compared with June/July 2007.

    Perhaps you could point us to an enlargement of this. It's kind of difficult to read at this size. Thank you.

    Is the red more theft or less?

    Also, how is Wynn's mass hiring supposed to alter the thefts in the future?
