LETTER TO THE EDITOR:
Palin’s credentials no better than most
Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008 | 2:04 a.m.
Well now, it just occurred to me that I could be a vice presidential candidate, too. My credentials and experience speak for themselves.
After all, I was president of my golf club for two years and I was vice president twice. I had to work with my executive board on the budget and planning events throughout the year. There were times when I had to make difficult decisions.
Of course I haven’t been a soccer mom. In fact, I haven’t been a mom at all, so I never had to worry about my kids having kids out of wedlock. I did, however, play soccer, so maybe that will count.
My values are basically to treat everyone the way I would like to be treated and not lie, cheat or steal.
So, if there is anyone out there who would like to run for president of this great country who would be looking for a running mate, I’m your girl.

Oh she has credentials, Joan, but not the type we need.
Her credentials as mayor are legendary.
"Government administrative spending increased 48 percent under Palin. In fiscal 2003—the last
fiscal year Palin approved the budget—the expenditures of the general government of Wasilla were $1,899,275. In fiscal 1996—the year before Palin took control of the budget—the expenditures were $1,286,594. The increase was 48 percent."
"Total government expenditures increased 63 percent under Palin. In fiscal 2003—the last fiscal year Palin approved the budget—the total government expenditures of Wasilla, excluding capital outlays, were $7,046,325. In fiscal 1996—the year before Palin took control of the budget—the expenditures were $4,317,947. The increase was 63 percent."
The population increase over the same period was 37%.
"Palin left behind Almost $19 Million in long-term debt, compared to none before she was
Mayor. In fiscal 2003—the last fiscal year Palin approved the budget—the bonded long-term debt was
$18,635,000. In fiscal 1996—the year before Palin took control of the budget—there was no general obligation debt."
She left a town of 7000 mired in debt, after increasing the sales tax.
And that "small town gal" who loves rural Alaska and their values so much? Well, not really.
When Ivana Trump showed up at an Ankorage Costco to hawk her cosmetics, Palin made the drive, desperate for some "glamour and culture."
"‘We want to see Ivana,' said Palin, who admittedly smells like salmon for a large part of the summer, ‘because we are so desperate in Alaska for any semblance of glamour and culture.'"
Seems Palin has a problem telling the truth.
That doesn't surprise me - she a Re-puke-lican.
It is time for Hillary to hit the campaign trail again - this time as a surrogate for Obama. Palin thanked her for making her chances to be VP easier and used her words to attack Obama.
It is time for Hillary to tell American women what it means if Palin becomes VP - a move backwards 50 years for women's rights and children's rights and the world's rights.
It is time for Hillary to make it very clear that this woman does not represent anything she stood for and should be voted against by every woman and man who voted for her in the Primaries.
It is time for Hillary to undo the damage that she has done, and to truly make Americans see that Sarah Palin is most definitely not the right choice, especially if she were to actually win.
Hillary Clinton, get off your behind and get out there making it clear that Palin does not represent 21st century women and that the Republicans cannot use your words to support this travesty. One statement about one ad, and none about Palin's speech, does not undo the damage that is being done now!
The writer could win the Democratic nomination, too!!!!!
If she thinks her experience is equal to Palin's and Palin's exerience is similar in amount to Obama's experience then the writer must think she is an equal to Obama.
It is funny that 18 million Democrats did not give that much weight to experience as a qualification to be President.
I guess the other 18 million Democrats voted for the other candidate that has experience.
Bill Clinton deeply loves his wife.
Bill and Hillary are very loyal to the Democratic Party.
Bill Clinton deeply hates Obama. Most likely, Hillary does not love Obama.
Obama's crowd attempted to paint Clinton as a racist and some people, especailly blacks, now have a much lower appreciation of Bill.
Bill will remember this for the rest of his life.
I am sure that is not much love from Obama toward the Clintons.
Bill and Hillary went to the Dem convention. Paid their tribute to Obama because they are loyal Democrats. Bill gave the speech of the convention. It shows his love for his life and for his party.
Now, I bet you will not see much of Hillary or Bill.
Obama is not fulfilling his promise to raise funds to help her pay off her debt.
If Obama loses then people like Bill Richardson should retire from politics. Bill and Hillary now have a long list of paybacks to work.
As usual, Jfnance32 just doesn't know what's going on.
"Now, I bet you will not see much of Hillary or Bill."
I'll take that bet!
She was campaigning yesterday in New York:

She's campaigning tomorrow for Obama in Florida in Kissimmee and Tampa:
http://www.news-press.com/apps/pbcs.dll/...
LOL, keep trying to show a wedge when there obviously isn't one!!!!
These republicans are runnin scared!!!!!
She is doing what she needs to do to get ready for 2012.
Believe me, Hillary, Bill and her closest friends are rooting for McCain/Palin.
Obama crowd painted Bill as a racist.
Believe me...Bill and Hillary have no warm and fuzzy feelings toward the Obama crowd.
Don't mind Nance, he just tapdances around his own statements.
"We're not gonna see her!"
"Oh, wait, I mean we're gonna see alot of her, she's campaigning for 2012! That's what I meant!"
Cognitive dissonance, yet again.
The desperation reeking from the Republicans will pale in comparison to the shame they will feel as Palin's record is slowly, but surely exposed.
The longer they wait to throw her out to the media, the longer these questions will linger. The less trustworthy she will seem, as time goes on.
What are they hiding from?
Other than her record, of course!
Yes, according to the theBS....Hillary and Bill just love ....love .....love Obama.
LOL.................
Last year, Palin backed a massive tax increase on oil production that has left Alaska flush with a $5 billion-to-$9 billion budget surplus. Hear that nance? MASSIVE TAX INCREASE!!!!!
Maybe she should run for the governor of Nevada and apply the same rationale to the mining industry. Gold is a non-renewable resource that has almost quadrupled in value over the past 10 years. Kudos to Palin, tax the hell out of oil and make the rich pay their share. See story in the Sun today.
You see jfnance, the parties really are not that different! Sarah Palin found the money she needs to fulfill her agenda by taxing big oil. Both Dems and Repubs will get your money! Sounds like Palin likes to sock it to big oil- good for her. Maybe she is the best candidate after all.
Sounds like you should vote for Palin.
So, Joan, you equate running a golf club with being governor of a state.
Yes, you're no doubt a Democrat. While you're at it, why not run for President. You already have more executive experience than Sen. Obama...
BTW, I have noticed a weird phenomenon during this presidential campaign. It seems to me more women than men rip the women candidates. I can't understand why. It reminds me of the ugly stepsisters who were so jealous of Cinderella...
