Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008 | 4:23 p.m.

Metro Police seek assistance from the public in identifying a man who robbed a bar at gunpoint Oct. 15 in the southwestern Las Vegas Valley.

The unidentified man, who was carrying a small handgun, broke the front glass door of a bar in the 4700 block of South Durango Drive in the early morning hours, police said.

The man carried a large black duffel bag with black handles. He told the clerk to get on the ground and then tied up the victim, police said.

The man took cash and attempted to pry open a video poker machine, police said. He left the bar on foot in an unknown direction.

If anyone has information that could aid in identifying this man, please call Metro Police robbery section at 828-3591. Those wishing to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 385-5555. A cash reward may be available to the person providing information that leads to the suspect's arrest.
