A star-studded guest list of VIPs was released Wednesday detailing the colorful and high-profile personalities expected to attend the premiere of “Criss Angel Believe” on Friday.
The sixth Vegas Cirque du Soleil show will be unveiled Halloween night during an extravagant and appropriately spooky gala event.
Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberté will be in town to mark the occasion with Angel and the show’s co-writer and director, Serge Denoncourt.
Among their guests will be Evangeline Lilly and Dominic Monaghan from ABC’s “Lost,” Holly Madison and Bridget Marquardt, stars of E!’s “The Girls Next Door,” Christina Hendricks from AMC’s “Mad Men,” and Neil Patrick Harris from CBS’s “How I Met Your Mother” (and of “Doogie Howser, M.D.” fame).
Other small-screen stars who will walk the “black carpet” include “That 70s Show” alumni Wilmer Valderrama and Tanya Roberts (who played “Midge” and is also a former Charlie’s Angel), Adam Shankman from FOX’s “So You Think You Can Dance,” A.J. Buckley and Jonathan Togo from CBS’s “CSI: NY” and "CSI: Miami,” former “Baywatch” beau Jeremy Jackson, and season seven “American Idol” contestant Michael Johns.
The guest list also has a musical component: Mötley Crüe lead singer Vince Neil, Angel’s good friend and Godsmack front man, Sully Erna, and the members of Hinder are all expected.
Local magicians Penn & Teller will also attend the gala, as will “Larger Than Life” comedian Louie Anderson and tiger-tamer Siegfried Fischbacher (sans Roy).
Also scheduled to attend: Adult film star couple Tera Patrick and Evan Seinfeld; reality show temptress Tila Tequila; retired NFL star Michael Strahan; former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson; Mr. “I’m a Mac” Justin Long; Angel’s neighbor and Luxor resident comedian, Carrot Top; former teen queen Debbie Gibson; Keir O’Donnell, who played the delusional little brother in “Wedding Crashers”; the cast of Luxor’s “Fantasy” revue; and Marie Osmond.
Angel and his guests will walk the carpet before the 7 p.m. show at the specially built theater at the heart of the Luxor. Various invite-only parties will follow the performance, including an official poolside soirée at the hotel.
Angel will give a second 10 p.m. show Friday before joining the celebrations. The magician and his cast and crew will take Saturday off to recoup from the festivities and resume their 10-shows-a-week schedule on Sunday.
“Believe” is scheduled to run for the next decade, with a five-year extension option after that. Tickets for the show range from $59 to $150 and are available at the Luxor box office.
