Green Valley and Basic High Schools compete for the prized Henderson Bowl trophy every season in Henderson’s oldest football rivalry. Green Valley has won the past four Henderson Bowl games.

2007
Green Valley 47, Basic 26
Green Valley's Frank Satterfield rushed for 269 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Gators to their fourth consecutive Henderson Bowl victory.
2006
Green Valley 7, Basic 0
Green Valley's John Poindexter had an 1-yard interception return for the game's lone points as both squads battled heavy rain.
2005
Green Valley 13, Basic 9
Green Valley tailbacks Brian Wiltshire and Jeff Garcia combined for 244 rushing yards and the Gators executed a pair of trick plays in their second straight win in the series.
2004
Green Valley 28, Basic 14
Green Valley's Jairus Howard rushed for 254 yards and four touchdowns and the Gators overcame a first half deficit to regain the bowl after two years.
2003
Basic 28, Green Valley 14
Basic scored 22 unanswered points, highlighted by a 55-yard fumble recovery returned for a touchdown by Donnie Eredia. A.J. Montano added a 3-yard touchdown run and 27-yard interception return for a touchdown.
2002
Basic 18, Green Valley 12
A.J. Montano scored from one yard out in double overtime to seal the win for Basic. At halftime, the score was only 3-2.
2001
Green Valley 28, Basic 20
Green Valley running back Anthony Guadagna rushed for 229 yards on 21 carries with two touchdowns.
2000
Basic 28, Green Valley 16
Basic won its first Henderson Bowl in 1,825 days (not since 1993) behind a pair of Nate Lord interceptions. Brandon Parcell sparked the Wolves with 49 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
1999
Green Valley 12, Basic 6
Green Valley's picked up its first win of the season in a defensive battle that saw the second least amount of points scored in the Henderson Bowl. After Basic cut the Gator lead to 12-6 late in the game, Green Valley's Chaz McColloch and Ryan Smith had fourth quarter interceptions to seal the victory.
1998
Green Valley 49, Basic 21
Green Valley running back Danny Tanner scorched the Wolves for 172 yards on 15 carries and three touchdowns.
1997
Green Valley 28, Basic 15
Green Valley's Scott Blackham rushed for three touchdowns and 70 yards, while the Gators' Greg Turco adds 87 yards on 13 carries. Green Valley built a 28-7 lead before Basic's Mike Rose connected with Zach Adam on a 25-yard touchdown pass with under two minutes to play. Basic's Andy Grasso had a 9-yard touchdown run.
1996
Green Valley 26, Basic 7
Green Valley's Brian Reed rushed for 230 yards and three touchdowns in leading the Gators to their third straight victory. Reed broke through for a 59-yard touchdown run just 30 seconds into the game. Eric Wise threw a 17-yard touchdown pass to Jason Baker for the Wolves' lone touchdown. Ricardo Ramos gained 86 yards on 22 carries for Basic.
1995
Green Valley 21, Basic 14
Chad Cione's 3-yard touchdown run early in the third quarter helped the Gators clip the Wolves. Basic quarterback Aaron Welbourne had 75 yards rushing and 114 yards passing in helping the Wolves to a 14-14 tie at halftime. Welbourne tossed a 12-yard touchdown pass to Jason Baker and Ricardo Ramos added a 2-yard touchdown run for the Wolves. The Gators got off to a quick start when Jeff Carter returned the opening kickoff 75 yards to set up a Cione touchdown run.
1994
Green Valley 64, Basic 0
Green Valley's Wade Perkins rushed for 162 yards and five touchdowns as the Gators blanked the Wolves.
1993
Basic 10, Green Valley 7
Basic's Jeremy Brandon threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to Julian Ramos for the game winner.
1992
Green Valley 26, Basic 6
The Gators' Nick Jones booted field goals of 46 and 34 yards and Steve Stith had an 11-yard touchdown run in leading Green Valley to its first-ever Henderson Bowl victory. Basic scored its only touchdown in the final minutes of the game when Danny McHatton hooked up with Scott Nelson for a 20-yard touchdown pass.
1991
Basic 33, Green Valley 20
The Wolves were crowned "City Champions" as they were victorious in the inaugural Henderson Bowl. Danny McHatton threw for 203 yards and three touchdowns, while Ryan Taylor had a 1-yard touchdown run to lead the Wolves.
