The Salvation Army Henderson Corps is seeking 75 paid employees to participate in its holiday bell-ringing drive in Henderson.
The Henderson Corps is hoping to raise $150,000, a target eclipsing the $120,000 raised last year, said Salvation Army Coordinator Jim Reid.
Funds are used to feed the hungry, provide clothing and run the Adult Day Health Care Center in Henderson.
"We do all kinds of things," Reid said. "We have facilities where homeless people can take showers."
Reid said demand is only increasing with the economic downturn.
Paid employees are needed to start the Monday before Thanksgiving and will be stationed outside stores across Henderson.
Paid bell-ringers typically work eight hours a day and sometimes rotate with volunteers. A background check is required. At least three employees will be needed in Boulder City as well.
Reid encouraged prospective employees to stop by the Henderson office to fill out an application.
"We need to get people in as quickly as we can," he said.
