Democrats guilty of attacks, too

The Nevada Democratic Party has engaged in some over-the-top attacks on GOP state Sens. Joe Heck and Bob Beers — mail, TV and Web assaults that have brought a torrent of criticism from the media. But less noticed has been the state party’s actions in a critical Assembly race for Valerie Weber’s seat. The party has sent out a series of pieces attacking Republican Donna Toussaint, including a recent one that accuses her of “privatizing Social Security and shredding Nevada’s safety net.” This is not only patently untrue — it has nothing to do with the Legislature. But, in smaller print below, the piece claims Toussaint “supports a party agenda ...” That’s a stretch Mr. Fantastic couldn’t make, folks.
