Obama overcomes McCain’s negative smears

In their desperation to influence voters, John McCain and Sarah Palin have lowered themselves by saying Barack Obama is a socialist. It is obvious that Palin, who delivered this low comment, most likely does not know the meaning of the word.
They have smeared Obama before, but this one is the dregs. Because they have devoted most of their campaigning to maligning Obama, instead of outlining their own programs, most voters should not be surprised at this latest outrage.
Why did 56 percent of American voters in a recent poll disagree with McCain? Why do Americans come in droves to hear Obama? Because Obama has inspired those who have no jobs, no homes and who are seeking help. He has given them a positive direction.
Obama has outlined his agenda, and he has promised to work every day for those who are wandering and have become bewildered by a nation of mad-men government. He and his vice presidential nominee, Joe Biden, will make government a responsible institution.
McCain would divide the people, whereas Obama seeks to unite us into a nation where we are all Americans; a nation in which we can pay our bills, maintain our dignity and be proud of our country.

It is hardly a "smear" to point out the truth. Obama's socialist pedigree is well-established.
1. In 1996, Obama was a member of the "New Party" whose stated objective was "to establish democratic socialism as a political force in the United States"

2. Obama taught Alinsky seminars for years. Saul Alinsky was a Marxist revolutionary who wrote the book "Rules for Radicals"
Alinsky's main objective was the acquisition of power, brought about through community agitation -- i.e. helping people understand that they are miserable because the government is impervious to their plight, and they are being exploited by capitalism ("greedy corporations" is a big catchword), so they must harrass said government and corporations until the oppressors understand it is in their "self-interest" to give the masses what they demand.
This is what Obama taught for years.
3. As Chair of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, Obama diverted huge sums of money to socialist groups. The largest recipient -- over 1 million - was the "Small Schools Workshop" -- founded by domestic terrorist/socialist educator William Ayers and directed by Mike Klonsky, the leader of the "New Communist Movement," a Marxist-Leninist organization of the 70s and 80s with ties to the Black Panther Party.
Every attack on Obama's record has been blamed racist. Bill Clinton was declared by the black community as America's first black president until he challenged Obama and then Clinton was a racist. When does this get old. How about Obama declaring white people don't want to pay taxes because they go to inner city blacks. On video in his own words.

If you consider it a "low comment," then maybe you ought to look into the meaning of the word. Socialism is not communism, and people need to stop using those word interchangeably.
Context. McSame/Alaska Barbie are USING "socialist" in a derogatory manner and they have the backing, and the blessings, of practically the entire AM radio spectrum and at least one cable news channel.
It's been one of their more prolific talking points since the Clinton administration.
Oh and they've ALWAYS interchanged them because not one of them has a clue what any of it really means. Watch them slip "fascist" in there at times. Makes me laugh when you consider what we've been living under for close to eight years.
Intelligence isn't necessarily the right wing's forte.
Obama will give illegals full government health coverage, medicaid and medicare.
Nice wild assertion there with absolutely no proof. Just more scare tactics from people genuinely worried about a November rout.

Take this thread for instance. The author is obviously upset that The One was called, of all things, a socialist. But instead of arguing against the assertion the libs only want to attack the character of those making the assertion. So to help them out I present the following.
Lets take the simple definition of socialism:
Socialism refers to a broad array of ideologies and political movements with the goal of a socio-economic system in which property and the distribution of wealth are subject to control by the community.
Now, by The One's own admission, he wants to take Joe the Plumbers (All of us, by the way) money and "spread it around". It is not even possible to take The One's comments out of context. He said it, ain't no denying it.
Now I will admit that he didn't say anything about property but he did say 'wealth'. So based purely on what he said and what the definition of socialism is the only possible conclusion is that The One is a socialist.
But, again, facts are of little use to the liberal mind.
OK, car_1; your "side" is always bemoaning "wealth redistribution" but apparently ONLY as it applies to "the little people" being given more.
Why, then, isn't it also "wealth redistribution" when the MAJORITY of the (e.g.) tax breaks, incentives, etc. go to the already wealthy and large businesses/corporations?
And please do not insult my intelligence with the "job creation" nonsense/talking point. Because if you have an ounce of honesty left, you understand as well as I do that once that wealth is redistributed "upwards" much, if not most, of it is then distributed off-shore where Uncle Sam can't touch it.

On July 14, 2008 in a speech to La Raza, Obama was pushing for full amnesty and citizenship for the all the illegals in the US which would have given them full access to all benefits, like Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security'
Also, Obama voted against amendment which would have banned illegals getting Social Security benefits. For example, if Jose sneaks into this country, steals your social security number, gets a job then Obama wants Jose to receive social security benefits for that time Jose was using your social security number.

Just saw the article saying they finally threw out that stupid Obama lawsuit by Berg. There was the ace in the hole for Obama haters, gone now. Looks like even US courts feel that Obama is a natural US citizen.
