Police searching for jewelry store robbers
Friday, Oct. 24, 2008 | 2:58 p.m.
Metro Police today released a surveilliance video image of two men who posed as electrical workers and robbed a central Las Vegas jewelry store at gunpoint on Oct. 16.
The men were dressed in yellow hard hats and matching blue and white shirts, police said. Once inside the business, one of the men brandished a gun and demanded jewelry, police said.
The suspects were last seen walking westbound through the store's parking lot.
The man on the left of the photograph is described as 6-foot-2 and weighing 200 pounds. The man on the right is 5-foot-10 and weighing between 180 and 200 pounds, police said.
The robbery was captured on video surveillance, police said, and it is hoped that someone will be able to identify the men after seeing the photograph.
Anyone with information is asked to call Metro Police's robbery section at 828-3591, or to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 385-5555. A cash reward may be available.
