Letter to the editor:
It’s time to get serious and get out and vote
Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008 | 2:03 a.m.
For some of you voters, the presidential campaign can be equated to a group of high school students stumping for class president.
Never mind the war in Iraq, foreclosures, unemployment, the gargantuan bailout, fraudulent ACORN voter registrations, stocks plummeting, etc.
Instead let’s have fun watching Sen. John McCain admitting to David Letterman, before millions of viewers, “I screwed up.” How about Sarah Palin appearing on “Saturday Night Live”? (Wasn’t Tina Fey’s awesome impersonation sufficient?)
How can we ever forget the awe-inspiring discovery of Joe the Plumber?
Well, folks (and you know who you are), the days are dwindling to a precious few and I beg you to please get seriously focused on the all-important issues and, with deep pride in your country, cast your vote on Nov. 4.

I have to agree this election is a lot like a school election...VOTE FOR ME! VOTE FOR ME!It is all about the individuals and not about country...LOOK AT ME...I am so great!
Unfortunately, both parties have nominated individuals without much merit for being President of the U.S.... an aging, former war hero and senator and a young, inexperienced, relatively unknown community worker and senator.
Both candidates batter at each other's weaknesses but have really not told us a lot of about how they will attempt to resolve our most serious problems. It is all fluff, smoke and mirrors without a whole lot of substance even after 18 months of serious, knock down drag out election campaigning.
WOW! What a slate of candidates we have! Sorry, this election and its candidates are not as promosing as some school elections I have seen.... It is all about the individuals with little of substance to do with the country!
The most accurate poll from the 2004 election has new results for this election. Posted today. http://www.ibdeditorials.com/Polls.aspx?...
Why are you encouraging people who aren't really paying attention to go vote? Please, for the sake of the rest of us, if you don't do your homework, stay home.
don't forget about michelle obama and barack dancing on the ellen degenerate show, i think michelle danced better but you be the judge.
Yes, neiman, that poll is so accurate, it says that 74% of youth aged 18-24 are voting for MCCAIN.
What's that sound? Gargling the kool-aid?
Tokoloshe, it is the Ellen DeGeneres' show.

The GOP is already conceding the presidential race. The new ads are to salvage the senate, i.e. "Don't Give President Obama a Blank Check".
Try to stay up to date, okay? It'll make you more relevant.
