A homeless man who frequents the area of Las Vegas Boulevard North and Owens Avenue is being sought by Metro Police after a fight ended in a man's death.
Officers and emergency medical crews arrived near the railroad tacks behind 33 W. Owens Ave. at about 1:43 p.m. Wednesday, police said. They found a 57-year-old Las Vegas man with life-threatening injuries.
The man was taken to University Medical Center, where he died from his injuries, police said. The man's identity hasn't been released.
Homicide detectives learned the victim had been involved in a fight with another man who attacked him.
Police have identified 49-year-old Marleau Bruce Miller as the suspect. Miller is 5-foot-10, weighs 160 pounds and has long, black hair, possibly in dreadlocks. His eyes are brown.
Police said Miller must be considered armed and dangerous and urged the public not to attempt to approach him.
Anyone who has more information on the homicide is urged to contact the homicide section at 828-3521. Callers who wish to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 385-5555 and may be eligible for a cash reward.
