A governor sued three times!

Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2008 | 2 a.m.

It has to be some kind of record — a governor sued three times in a week! Will the record-setting pace Jim Gibbons is on ever abate? Lowest approval rating of any governor in the country? Most women openly speculated about as extra-marital partners? Most verbal gaffes in first half of term? Most scandals in the first half of term? And now, most lawsuits against a chief executive in a week. First, Chrissy Mazzeo’s revenge. Then, a state employee who says her involvement in Gibbons’ textual relations cost her her position with the budget division. And now, the Reno Gazette-Journal has sued the governor because he won’t release his e-mail. One thing you can say about Gibbons: He keeps setting the bar lower.
