A 32-year-old woman was stopped in her car at a red light at Seven Hills Drive and Sunridge Heights Parkway Sunday morning when a man holding a gun got into the passenger's seat, Henderson police said this morning.
The man ordered the woman to drive and they ended up at Vivaldi Park, southwest of the intersection, where the suspect assaulted her, then fled on foot, police said. The incident began at about 6:10 a.m.
Henderson police are asking the public for assistance in identifying the man suspected in the attack.
He is described as being in his 30s or 40s with a dark complexion, a muscular build, short dark-colored spiked hair and clean shaven with hazel eyes. He has a deep scar on the right side of his face extending from the right ear to outside the edge of the right lip, police said.
The man was last seen wearing black jeans, a black hooded sweatshirt and black belt.
Detectives are asking anyone who may have seen anything to contact the police department. The woman was driving a silver Dodge Stratus at the time of the attack.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Henderson Police Department at 267-4750. Anyone who wishes to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 385-5555, and could be eligible for a cash reward.

George Bush; "doing the work us lazy americans will not do"? ...the republican president.
My girlfriend insists on locking the car doors when we are driving.
Smart lady!!!!!!
jfnance, I was under the impression you were a woman. No offense, or are you?
Without doubt this guy's gonna get caught with such distinctive features.
Most Americans will work if paid a living wage but there are always those who will be too lazy to work no matter what the pay rate is. This 'lazy american' excuse is just that - an excuse - it's all about rich politicians paying back to their 'donors' by allowing the companies access to cheap labor. And BOTH parties are guilty of ignoring the illegal immigration problem.
I vote 'C'.......NONE OF THE ABOVE..........
Women are not even safe driving anymore! I can't believe some sicko jumped into her car and attacked her this morning. Men who rape should be neutered like dogs and kept in a kennel. It would not matter if she had locked her doors..he still would have gotten to her some way. I also think it is heartless and cruel that people are making comments about political crap in this blog about a woman being attacked! How hard is it to focus on the topic at hand..or don't you even care that someone was raped today! You care more about your political agenda than a woman who was hurt.
Is this guy black or white? I can't tell from the description - "dark complexion"? If you are sincere about finding this guy, you might want to give the public basic information on his ethnicity and not worry so much about being politically correct. sheesh.
