Letter to the editor:
McCain clear loser in presidential debate
Friday, Oct. 17, 2008 | 2:04 a.m.
Watching the presidential debate Wednesday night confirmed my choice for president: Sen. Barack Obama.
Sen. John McCain was trying so hard to keep his cool, but you could tell by his expressions and his body language he was not at ease. At some points he was flubbing his words and trying to think of an answer to a question, whereas Obama seem very relaxed and sure of the plans he has in mind to help the American people out of this mess the country has gotten into.
Maybe if McCain, along with his running mate, had spent more time concentrating on issues instead of trying to run a smear campaign that was full of personal attacks, he would have fared better.
Shame on McCain, who is showing us the only way he thinks he can get elected is to resort to desperate tactics.

First, Obama will save America.
Obama will take from the rich and give to the poor. People who pay income taxes will pay higher income taxes so that people who pay no income taxes will get checks for $1,000's of dollars.
Obama is going to hand out welfare cash like it is candy.
Obama then is going to try to buy the middle class vote by giving them $1.95 more a day in middle class tax cuts over McCain's plan. $1.95 a day will bring much happiness in lives of Americans.
Every day, Obama is promising more tax cuts and spending plans. Obama will be the trillion dollar man. Obama will be the first president to generate trillion dollar annual budget deficits every year he is in office.
Next, Obama will save the world. Many leaders are excited about Obama being the world leader. Chavez, Castro and Hamas have given their support to this wonderful future leader. There will be joy and dancing in the streets in Iran, Palestine, Pakistan and Havana when Obama is anointed Messiah of the World.
I have a few very important questions for John McCain and his VP:
1. Why is it we can spend 10 billion dollars a month in Iraq and Afghanistan but cannot afford to spend money building our own infrastructure, schools, hospitals, etc?
2. Why is it we can spend 10 billion dollars a month in these countries when our own people are suffering and without medical health insurance?
3. How do you think $5,000 toward health insurance is going to help any of us when insurance and pharmaceutical companies will raise their prices to match this bonus?
4. Why is the U.S. the only industrialized nation in the civilized world that cannot afford universal health care, but can spend billions of our hard earned money to help countries like Iraq that can well afford to take care of their own people?
Answer these questions John McCain if you can!
What is the difference between Obama and Hugo Chavez. Chavez is honest about his goals.
Read what's happening in Florida. Our system of elections is at risk. Why does the radical left want this guy so bad.

"I have a few very important questions for John McCain and his VP:

( because the Democrats LOST THE ARGUMENT (and voted FOR, before voting AGAINST invading Iraq "for a few seats more) - then when they took Congress/2006 - VOWING AND SWEARING to pull the troops / pay-as-you-go and their other lies - , they made no serious effort to pull the funding - why - to keep our best and bravest intentionally IN HARM'S WAY for their rank domestic political purposes. Otherwise, written as the socialist whine we see in today's liberally rotten discourse)

2. Why is it we can spend 10 billion dollars a month in these countries when our own people are suffering and without medical health insurance?
(UHC is a medical, financial, political and global socialist failure for many decades. IF you want rationed, government-approval of YOUR malady, stand-in-line-for-months HC, UHC is for you! Liberals need enslavement of "The People", and what greater way to do this than control their healthcare - except perhaps usurping their home mortgage, eh?
IF one wants to see how government would handle healthcare - look at Medicare and Medicaid and their threat to every American financially and medically).

3. How do you think $5,000 toward health insurance is going to help any of us when insurance and pharmaceutical companies will raise their prices to match this bonus?
(what makes you think Obama's political bribes re: "tax credits" will have a different effect? Ignorance, I guess?)

(A "jones" on healthcare, huh? Cradle-to-grave nanny-state social communism is not the answer - we just need a lot less liberals cooking books at Freddie/Fannie and making banks take rotten debt. Before the Congressionally-approved most honorable Liberation of Iraq (a HUGE success, note the LMSM's lack of coverage, lol), Saddam HUSSEIN and his sons were well taken care of - "The people", not so much. Thank you for admitting that President Bush has made Iraq so much better that they can "well afford to take care of their own people". You're quite brave in this way. The success of the Iraq Liberation is well known, but deeply-in-denial among your liberal, social communist crowd. Well done for admitting the TRUTH of that!)

Answer these questions John McCain if you can!
He and the Republicans already have. It's the liberal deep-in-denial-for-social-communism that can not hear.
Yeah, IF universal health care is such a global failure, why haven't those nations revoked it? It may cost money, but are you really going to put a price on lower cancer rates, longer lifespans, fewer stillborn births, and overall a healthier citizenry? And it is a good question about why we can spend billions overseas but not take care of our own crumbling infrastructure? I don't care about Iraq. They have democracy, that's nice, now I want safe bridges. I want good roads, and at least half decent schools.
Charity begins at home. This isn't liberal questionings; this is an American wondering why we aren't taking care of America first.
It's like helping rebuild a neighbor's home (which we incidentally destroyed), while our own is leaking and falling apart. We have overseas commitments, but these are distracting us from the real problems at home.
Heard an interesting report on NPR yesterday explaining that under Obama's tax plan, if Joe the Plumber's future business grossed $275,000 - he would pay substantially less in taxes with Obama as our next president. Apparently Obama's tax plan still deducts business expenses (rent, utilities, equipment, etc) from a business's taxable income. Only a businesses with a profit margin over $250,000, after expenses, would save with McCain (roughly $600 for a company that profited $280,000).
I am certainly a HUGE proponent of 'Charity begins at HOME'. I'm as sick to death of hearing about kids from 3rd world countries being brought to America and receiving life-saving treatment GRATIS while American kids die everyday from lack of procedures their parents can't afford........... shame on all these doctors, nurses, medical facilities and what-not that provide this stuff for free to anyone BUT an American - just because it'll garner a big write-up in some newspaper - BIG DEAL about some cheap a$$ publicity - take care of our own FIRST.
there are no interesting reports on NPR.
God help america if Barack cheeseburger Obama gets in, we will all recieve the equivalent of one happy meal per day, that is if you are middle class. If you are poor you will get much more. More middle class will move to the poor category with higher unemployment and inflation.
I think we will see unprecedented inflation within the first two years.
Hard working americans;
Do you know where your waist is?
bend there.
If trillion dollar Obama gets in, you will now be working to provide for more people than anyone in the history of this great country.
