Man charged in connection with Friday homicide

A man has been charged with murder in connection a fatal shooting Friday afternoon.
Metro Police responded at 12:52 p.m. Friday to a report of the shooting. The victim, whose name is being withheld pending notification of family, died from his injuries, police said.
Investigators learned that Ruben Arroyo, 29, was involved in the shooting and witnesses told investigators he left the scene in a Chevrolet truck.
Arroyo was found sitting in his vehicle in the 300 block of North Sandhill Boulevard in Mesquite and was arrested without incident, authorities said.
He was taken to the Clark County Detention Center, where he was booked on a charge of murder with a deadly weapon.
