Undaunted by the intensity of Campaign ’08

Undaunted by the intensity of Campaign ’08, one 2009 candidate already has her Web site up and running. Henderson mayoral hopeful Amanda Cyphers, a former councilwoman, is trying to get the jump on Andy Hafen and Steve Kirk, the current councilmen who want Jim Gibson’s job. “As we move forward, much uncertainty and dire challenge lie ahead, this is why I can hear and feel the need for public service in my heart once again,” she says on amandacyphers.com. “This is why I want to be your Mayor.” She even has her cell phone number on the site so people can call her, which is a sign of either accessibility or desperation! So now we can say Campaign ’09 officially is under way, before ’08 is even over.
