Metro Police have arrested John Prins, the driver involved in a crash on U.S. 95 on Oct. 7 that killed 47-year-old Kevin Franklin James after his motorcycle was hit.

Prins has been booked into the Clark County Detention Center on a charge of felony hit and run and felony driving under the influence, said Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Kevin Honea.

The crash occurred about 11 p.m. Oct. 7 near Casino Center Boulevard in the southbound lanes of U.S. 95. The cause of death is still pending, the coroner's office said.

The crash caused traffic delays on the freeway as highway patrol troopers investigated.
