Lawrence "Larry" D. Linton, 72, of Boulder City, died Oct. 11.
The 32-year resident was born Aug. 12, 1936, in Williams Township, Mich. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, retiring a chief petty officer.
Linton is survived by his daughter, Pam Vaughn and husband, Dan, of Henderson; grandchildren Ashley and Steven Vaughn, both of Henderson; sister, Bettie Yoder of Midland, Mich.; nephews Roger, Philip, Steven and Brian; and nieces Cathy and Yvonne.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Linton; and brother-in-law, Melvin "Bud" Yoder.
Services will be private.
Arrangements were handled by Boulder City Family Mortuary.
Gary LoCastro
Gary LoCastro, 55, of Henderson, died Oct. 10.
The 14-year resident was born July 20, 1953, in Brooklyn, N.Y. He was a painting contractor and journeyman, and a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.
LoCastro is survived by his wife, Taffy LoCastro of Henderson; sons Gary Allan Pagett of Downey, Calif., and Charles Atley Pagett of Las Vegas; daughter, Stacey Anne Gooding of Henderson; and 10 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Oct. 18 at Palm Mortuary-Henderson, 800 S. Boulder Highway.
Arrangements were handled by Palm Mortuary-Henderson.
Raymond Pacheco
Raymond R. Pacheco, 58, of Henderson, died Oct. 9.
The lifelong resident was born Aug. 14, 1950, in Las Vegas. He was a retired state government laborer and a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.
Pacheco is survived by his wife, Sharon Pacheco of Henderson; daughters Irene Cabezas of Henderson and Peggy Smith of Las Vegas; son, Richard Smith of Henderson; mother, Mary Pacheco of Las Vegas; sister, Cathy Tolley of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Oct. 18 at Palm Mortuary-Henderson, 800 S. Boulder Highway.
Arrangements were handled by Palm Mortuary-Henderson.
Eva Thompson
Eva Thompson, 86, of Henderson, died Oct. 13.
The 49-year resident was born Dec. 15, 1921, in Kossuth County, Iowa, to Fredrick and Ada Montgomery. She was worked as an education coordinator for Clark County School District for 28 years, retiring in 1988. She was a member of Henderson's 50th Anniversary Committee and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving as the leader of a Young Women's Program. From 1996 to 1997 she researched and wrote the history of the Henderson Black Mountain Stake.
Thompson is survived by her daughter, Jerlyn Figearo of Henderson; son, Gary Thompson and wife, Clare, of Las Vegas; granddaughters Debbie and husband, Ed, Cindy and husband, Blain; grandsons Erik and wife, Sadie, Matthew and wife, Christina, Jerry, Michael and Gary Scott; and great-grandchildren Rachael, Sabrina, Kennedy and Dean.
A visitation will be held noon-1 p.m. Oct. 17 at the Desert Rose Ward, 567 W. Pacific Ave., with services following at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Palm Memorial Park-Henderson, 800 S. Boulder Highway.

Matthew Young
Matthew James Young, 32, died Oct. 3 after battling a terminal kidney disease.
The lifelong resident was born Nov. 24, 1976, at St. Rose De Lima Hospital. He graduated from Basic High School in 1995 and had been employed as a dealer at the Monte Carlo for the past seven years.
Young is survived by his mother, Linda Lamb; stepfather, Charles Lamb; father, Charles H. Young III; stepmother, Angela Young; sister, Molly Barrow and husband, Daniel Shane; brother, Jacob Lamb and fiancee, Jamie Mortensen; niece, Danielle Barrow; nephew, Maddox Lamb, all of Henderson; stepbrother, Tom Pisani of Las Vegas; and stepsisters Elenora Royball and Laura Johnson, both of Texas.
Services were held Oct. 8 at Palm Mortuary-Henderson.
Arrangements were handled by Palm Mortuary-Henderson.
