Game a chance to support Eagles

Homecoming brings to mind floats, royalty, parades, dances and football.
The homecoming tradition dates back to 1910 or 1911 — depending if you believe the University of Illinois or the University of Missouri — and has become a part of most high school and colleges across the country.
It's supposed to be a time when alumni and community members return or come home to their alma mater.
For Boulder City High, this is homecoming week.
There is spirit week, where the students dress up according to each day's theme. The homecoming parade is Oct. 16 and then there's the traditional bonfire that night behind the fire station.
Most people think about two things when it comes to homecoming — football and a dance.
After three straight road games, the fans and community can come see the football team in action.
This is the second time all season Boulder City has played at home and there is only one more regular season home game — Oct. 24 against Faith Lutheran.
There are going to be plenty of reasons to come check out the Eagles.
The last time fans saw the team play at home was nearly a month ago. Since then, Boulder City has made two trips to California — Yermo and San Diego — and won both times.
The Eagles, with a 4-2 overall record, have already matched their win total from the last two years combined.
The Eagles are hosting perennial power Virgin Valley in an important game in the league standings.
Boulder City lost its first league game, falling 35-13 at Moapa Valley. With only three league games, a win or a loss goes a long way in determining whether the team is hosting a first-round playoff game.
It's been nearly four years since Boulder City hosted a playoff game — the Eagles lost to Virgin Valley 20-16 in the 2004 playoffs — and coach Alex Kazel and this year's team want nothing more than be playing at home that first Saturday in November.
Playing at home for these last two league games gives Boulder City an advantage against Virgin Valley and Faith Lutheran, but part of that advantage is the fan support.
It's time for Boulder City fans to come home and cheer for their Eagles.
