Early voting will be available at City Hall Oct. 27 and 28 as part of the Clark County Election Department's effort to allow people to cast their ballots before Election Day Nov. 4.
Polls will be open those days from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the council chambers, 401 California Ave.
Boulder City voters also will be able to cast their votes early anytime during the early voting period, Oct. 18 to Oct. 31, at any of 88 sites.
County Registrar Larry Lomax expects 300,000 to cast a ballot during the early voting period — up from 271,000 in 2004.
"If they know who they are going to vote for the first week of early voting is the best time to vote. That's when the lines will be the shortest and will be the easiest to get in and get out," he said.
Traditionally, half of all votes are cast early, 10 percent use mail ballots and the remaining 40 percent vote on election day, Lomax said.
A voting place at the Galleria at Sunset is one of eight stations open the duration of the two weeks. Polls are open Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
