Palin attacks echo those of Red Scare

Sarah Palin’s repeated attempts to demean Barack Obama remind me of the far right’s McCarthyism era.
“Tail Gunner” Joe McCarthy used the same techniques: guilt by association, false claims, unsubstantiated accusations and character assassination. I think Ms. Palin might eventually follow the same career-ending path of McCarthy.
