2008 ELECTION:

Voter registration ends Tuesday

Early voting runs from Oct. 18-31

Monday, Oct. 13, 2008 | 7:17 a.m.

Only two days are left to register to vote for the Nov. 4 election.

Clark County voters can register from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Tuesday by going in person to the Clark County Government Center, 500 S. Grand Central Parkway in Las Vegas, or to the Clark County Election Center, 965 Trade Drive Suite A in North Las Vegas.

Voters who signed up at one of the many registration drives held in the last few weeks can make sure their paperwork was filed by calling 455-VOTE (8683) or by going to the Election Department's Web site at http://www.accessclarkcounty.com/elections.

The early voting period for the Nov. 4 election runs from Oct. 18 through Oct. 31. See a list of the 88 locations available for early voting.

If you need to vote by mail, you have until Oct. 28 to submit a mail ballot. For more information, visit the Election Department Web site.
