- Man, 22, shot to death near downtown (10-12-08)
The Clark County coroner's office today identified a 22-year-old man shot to death in the eastern Las Vegas Valley early Sunday morning.
The cause of death for Herminio Casillas Jr. was listed as multiple gunshot wounds, the coroner said.
Metro Police are still looking for three men suspected of being involved in the shooting, which occurred at about 1:35 a.m. Sunday near a business at East Charleston Boulevard and 17th Street.
The victim was with family members when three men ranging in age from 18 to 26 years old approached Casillas, then shot him, police said. He was taken to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said there is no motive in the shooting. After shots were fired, the three men ran north on 17th Street and left in a vehicle, which might have been an SUV, police said.
Anyone with any information about the shooting is asked to call the Metro Police homicide section at 828-3521, or to remain anonymous call Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.

My guess is he is probably in a gang and this was retaliation for something that happened previously. People dont just show up out of no where and kill someone on a sunday morning no less. Wait and see i guess.
