FLASHPOINT:
Pressure-packed election
Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008 | 2:01 a.m.
The intensity of this year’s election cycle is unlike any I have seen in 20 years. The unprecedented number of newly registered voters is leading to immense pressure on election officials. The presidential campaigns are pressing for any advantage and you have to believe Barack Obama’s team is worried about various issues as Nov. 4 approaches. Like, what happens if long lines ensue at polling places, especially with those younger voters who might not wait too long? Or is it the oldsters who might get crotchety and leave? Some folks want paper ballots made available to speed it up as well as other concessions. It will be tough to change the rules this late, but I bet the pressure on registrars and the secretary of state is unreal.

This years election I think is eerily different.
The liberal media has definitely put more energy into cleansing the messages you hear about their candidate obama. The liberal media does not attempt to find out anything about obamas friends or his past and his past is interesting to say the least.
The polls don't seem to make a lot of sense.
I think the polls are skewed by a number of factors, the "bradley" effect, the younger fickle folks, and these acorn issues bring up a whole other discussion.
I think a lot of people are going to be very surprised come election time.
No matter who you are I hope you take some time and research your candidate, what great tools we have today with google and youtube etc.
go check em out and whether you are a republican or democrat i hope you vote american and with your heart.
america,
and what happened to the original 56 men who signed the declaration of independence?
5 were captured by the british and tortured to death.
12 had their homes burned.
9 fought and died from wounds or hardships from the revolutionary war.
I have some information on others that died poor, no possessions, what was interesting was when these men signed the declaration they new the penalty would be death if they were captured.
John McCain, whether you like him or not spent 5 years in a horrible prison in terrible conditions, he knows freedom is not free, but here is what i think is interesting about that,
Instead of being saluted when he walked onto the t.v. show "the view" he started to talk about the constitution and whoopie interrupted him and asked him if he was elected should she be worried about slavery. I could mention other people who have been rude too, but my point is that we have turned into such a rude society, it actually goes beyond rude it is dispicable.
He has given his entire life as a public servant and five years of it in prison and the only thing people are concerned about is "what about me".
Strangely enough it makes me think of how mean people can be I can understand from this very thought why people don't like each other very much.
