J-Lo, Anthony renew vows in 3 a.m. ceremony
Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008 | 8:49 a.m.
Superstar singers Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony decided to renew their wedding vows early today (Sunday) at Caesars Palace.
The couple are parents of 8-month-old fraternal twins, Max and Emme -- born Feb. 22 this year. They exchanged their vows all over again with the Rev. Steven Smith officiating at the “middle of the night” 3.15 a.m. ceremony! It was witnessed by two close friends of the celebrity singers.
J-Lo and Marc were first married on June 5, 2004 in a very quiet and secretive wedding at her home. It was their third marriage for each. J-Lo 's second marriage was to choreographer Criss Judd, who staged the current Fantasy topless cabaret revue at the Luxor. J-Lo was then romantically linked with both record mogul Sean Combs and actor Ben Affleck.
During the sometime stormy relationship with Affleck they were regular visitors to Vegas and there's a famous story I reported of how J-Lo pocketed his $100,000 winnings one night at the Mirage -- including taking back a $10,000 tip chip he'd left the dealer and exchanging it for a $100 chip. Next day she, her mom and her family went on a stunning shopping spree in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace.
Marc and Jennifer re-exchanged their "I Do's" in the newly renovated Penthouse of the Caesars Palace Forum Tower. The famous duo were also the first guests to stay in the superior suite since it re-opened.
Just 24 hours earlier they had partied up and down the Strip after watching Criss Angel's new Believe show for Cirque du Soleil at the Luxor. He treated them to champagne at the LAX nightclub and Noir Bar there before they left to go off to the BANK at the Bellagio where a hungry pre-dawn J-Lo, who has sold more than 50 million records worldwide, ordered up snacks from the neighboring FIX restaurant, which were delivered to her in the nightclub!
The only clue as to why they decided to remarry in a Vegas ceremony came from a spywitness who had seen them backstage in the Mindfreak magician's dressing room. "They are completely in love and totally relaxed with each other. It is very beautiful because they have found each other's soulmate. J-Lo has never been this happy and comfortable in her life before. Maybe they got married again just because so many other stars have had runaway weddings in Vegas they thought it would be a fun memory of their weekend here."
Luxe Life will continue to monitor this breaking story -- in the event J-Lo and Marc issue an official statement explaining the new nuptials!
