Metro Police are searching for at least three people after a shooting near Oakey and Jones boulevards.
One person was shot and taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
A private academy at Oakey and Jones boulevards was in lockdown after reports of shots fired, but that was lifted shortly after noon, police said.
The shooting may have occurred after a multiple-vehicle crash in the area, police said.
Police helicopters and K-9 dog units were brought into the area in the western part of the Las Vegas Valley shortly before noon, but no suspects have been found, police said.
Police are still in the area at this time.
