Only six days left before voter registration deadline

Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008 | 11:35 a.m.

If the presidential debates are getting you interested in voting, there's still six days left to register.

The deadline for registration is Tuesday, Oct. 14. Those who want to vote in Clark County can register by going down to the Clark County Elections Department, at the Clark County Government Center, 500 S. Grand Central Parkway, and the Clark County Election Center, 965 Trade Drive, Suite A. Those locations will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. today through through Thursday; and from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday through Tuesday, Oct. 14.

If you think you are already registered, election officials recommend to make sure you are on the county's registration list by checking for your name on the Election Department’s Web site.

Although Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 4, about half of Clark County voters in the past have used the early voting option.

Early voting begins Saturday, Oct. 18, and ends Friday, Oct. 31. See a list of the 88 locations available for early voting.

Discussion: 5 comments so far…

  1. How much can I get paid for registering the Los Angeles Dodgers to vote. ACORN/Obama registered the Dallas Cowboys.

  2. States do not validate US citizenship when people register to vote. The California, Nevada, New Mexico and Florida non-citizen vote will put John McCain in the White House. The Democrats who have allow non-citizens to vote since HAVA 2002 (only a utility bill as a means of identification meets the standards outline by HAVA 2002) are now indirectly allowing non-citizens to elect John McCain to be the next President. Non-citizen Hispanics will not vote for Obama and they do not tell people taking the polls who they are going to vote for because the are under the radar, remember the States DO NOT VALIDATE US CITIZENSHIP when people register to vote and rarely prosecuted violations of voter fraud because liberal judges will not find them guilty unless they admit their guilt. State Prosecutors are reluctant to prosecute cases, so non-citizens have very little FEAR of getting caught. John McCain will be the next President of the United States not because of White Racism but non-citizens who think Blacks (in their mind) are getting a free ride, while they have to work at slave labor wages. Remember the TV ads directed at Spanish speaking voters, to be a citizen you have a basic understanding of the English language these ads where for the non-citizen Spanish speaking voter.

Stand by on election night when Barrack Obama has up to 8 point leads in California, Nevada, New Mexico and Florida and then John McCain wins those STATES.

I got my Senate voting data at http://www.SenateReports.com you can too!

  3. My mother used to say, "tell me who you run with and i'll tell you who you are"

  4. I understand that the Dallas cheerleaders can vote in Nevada.

Does anybody know where they are going to vote at?

  5. It is obvious that ACORN is behind the big jump in Democrat registrations.

I wonder how many of those are bogus.

I wonder if this screws up their strategy.

Also, this could screw up polling. Most pollster weight their polls by number of registered voters per party.

If the Democrats have a false number of registrations then the polls might be weighted in their favor and falsely bump up the numbers for Obama.

I think the polls are so whack out this year.

I see polls that show the race near dead even and other polls that show Obama 12 points ahead.

There are the new young voters issue.

There is the "Bradley" effect of whites having fear of saying they are not voting for Obama.

I think Obama will win but I think it will be much closer than most people think.
