Homicide detectives search for son accused of stabbing mother

Update: Man arrested in deadly stabbing of mother

Metro Police homicide detectives are searching for a man who is accused of stabbing his mother to death in the southwest area of the Las Vegas Valley.

Detectives were called to a residence in the 6300 block of West Haleh Avenue about 10:30 a.m., where the body of a woman was discovered, police said.

The woman called and said she had been stabbed multiple times, police said. Her home is near Pyle Avenue and Jones Boulevard.

Witnesses told detectives they saw her son leaving the home in a 1992 silver Plymouth, police said.

The investigation continues and police said there is no motive for the stabbing.
