Republican Richard McArthur and Democrat Craig Ballew are both hoping to succeed Assemblywoman Francis Allen’s District 4 seat this November.
McArthur, a 65-year-old retired FBI agent, defeated Allen in the August Republican primary.
McArthur wants lower taxes, has backed legislation to make English the official language of state business and supports tougher immigration laws.
He believes the state could save $500 million a year if illegal immigrants are denied benefits and deported.
Also running for the State Assembly District 4 seat are third-party candidates Wayne Rudolph, Libertarian, and Brad Barnhill, Independent American.
