Cool mornings and pleasant afternoons — that's what's in store for Las Vegas this week according to the National Weather Service.
At 6:30 a.m. today, temperature were in the low 60s throughout the Las Vegas Valley. And today's high is expected to reach 86 degrees, according to the weather service.
Winds were calm this morning and were expected to be east-northeasterly at 6 mph today.
The morning lows for the rest of the week are expect to be in the low to mid 60s, with highs in the mid 80s to low 90s.
Saturday's storms brought two rounds of rainfall to Southern Nevada.
The initial round on Saturday morning brought light amounts of rain, mostly in the far northern portion of the Las Vegas valley, north of the 215 Beltway, the weather service said.
The weather service said the second round of storms came just ahead of the cold front and brought rain and wind gusts of 35 to 55 mph shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday.
Rainfall amounts in Las Vegas ranged from 0.36 of an inch in the West Wash Range 1 in the northeast part of the valley to 0.01 of an inch at McCarran International Airport.
The storms brought the first snow of the season on the peaks of the Southern Sierra Nevada range, the weather service said.
