LETTER TO THE EDITOR:
Palin can’t skate by on just her personality
Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008 | 2:06 a.m.
Democratic vice presidential nominee Joe Biden had to show restraint Thursday evening in debating Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin so as not to bully her or overwhelm her, or so the pundits warned.
Biden spoke from the experiential knowledge he has of the national economy and foreign policies. Palin spoke from the cramming she did this past week in Arizona. Though she didn’t have a “meltdown,” she also didn’t prove that she has a working knowledge of the issues that are extremely important to voters.
Sarah Palin relies on her winking, her “gotcha,” her referring to the voters as “Joe Six-Pack” and her “maverick” mantra to show the voters she understands the issues with which they struggle.
With John McCain agreeing with President Bush over 90 percent of the time on pertinent issues, he’s hardly the “maverick” he claims, and if Palin agrees with McCain, she’s hardly the “maverick” she claims.
The Obama-Biden ticket will truly be a force for changing the ways of doing business in Washington. Now that’s being a “maverick”!

Are we talking about Barack (subprime) Obama?
Is he running against Palin for president? Or no,
he is running against Georg W.? Wait, He is running against McCain, thats it. You people get me so confused sometimes.
She's a joke that close to half the country is ready to vote for. That's scary. Ignorance is not bliss. Education and intelligence are not "elitist." Why would you vote for people who aren't as smart (Tweedledum and Tweedledumber), when two very intelligent people, Obama and Biden, are running together? Because you're racist, maybe, or because you're ill-informed, or because you want to believe what you want to believe instead of what factual evidence shows. I can see maybe one concern about the Democrats that may have a little bit of validity (and that issue is NOT taxes, which Obama has made clear will go back where they belong - to the best off, including people like him), but the overwhelming evidence is for D, against R.

Maybe the "subprime obama camp" is nervous obama now wants convicted felons (about 4 million) to have the right to vote, they currently are not allowed to but if obama gets his way he believes
since these felons are disproportionatley black they will vote for him, check it out;
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081004/ap_o...
Actually, convicted felons DO have the right to vote in some states. In others they don't. Go to:
http://www.aclu.org/votingrights/exoffen...
to see a map outlining exactly which allow felons to vote and which do not. Currently only two states permanently disenfranchise all people with felony convictions (Kentucky and Virginia). It's people like tokaloshe who keep these people disenfranchised by repeating the lie that all those who have ever been convicted of a felony may no longer cast a ballot.
I don't click on threads that have the letters aclu in them, i am on heart medication.
Whats the difference between aclu, jesse jackson,
a gangster,a terrorist, barack "streets of chicago thug" obama, and a liar?
Hey John F, I know felons can vote in some states, barack wants them to vote in all states
soon as they are released. remember some most of these convicted felons would still be on parole and should not have all rights restored, next thing you know they'll be allowed to go buy guns right away too. some felons don't deserve to vote, ever, period.
tokaloshe you are commenting on subjects you obviously know nothing about. The ACLU protects the rights of American citizens.
The mission of the ACLU is to preserve all of these protections and guarantees:
Your First Amendment rights - freedom of speech, association and assembly; freedom of the press, and freedom of religion.
Your right to equal protection under the law - equal treatment regardless of race, sex, religion or national origin.
Your right to due process - fair treatment by the government whenever the loss of your liberty or property is at stake.
Your right to privacy - freedom from unwarranted government intrusion into your personal and private affairs.
It is better to stay quiet be thought a fool, then to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
Please please please tell me that you are NOT actually citing Jewish World Review, tokaloshe. For awhile, I thought better of you. I should have known. My bad.
And Jim, no, this thread is NOT about Obama. It's about PALIN. Apparently reading isn't your forte.
As to Palin, she HAS NO personality. She's as insincere and phony as they get; a requirement to be part of today's right wing.
