Boulder City deaths

Jack Cummings

Jack L. Cummings, 82, of Boulder City, died Sept. 15.

The 20-year resident was born Oct. 26, 1925, in Detroit. He was a retired aerospace budget analyst, a member of the U.S. Navy and a veteran of World War II.

Cummings is survived by his wife, Jennie Cummings, of Boulder City; daughters Rhonda Cummings, of Boulder City and Julie Stephenson, of Orange, Calif.; son, Roger Cummings, of Corona, Calif.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family requests that donations be made to the Senior Center of Boulder City, 813 Arizona St., Boulder City, 293-3320, bcscdirector@cox.net.

Services were held Sept. 20 at Palm Mortuary-Henderson.

Arrangements were handled by Palm Mortuary-Henderson.

Hillard 'Bud' Langlie

Hillard "Bud" R. Langlie, 75, of Panorama Village, Texas, died at his home on Sept. 26.

He was was born Oct. 7, 1932, in Dulath, Minn. He was a manufacturing plant manager with Avery-Dennison. He moved to Texas about five years ago from Boulder City.

He is survived by son Scott and his wife, Michelle; grandchildren Chris, Matt and Jake; siblings Vada Hilts, Jessica Arena, Ted and his wife, Luan; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by his wife, Virginia, who died in January, and brother Nelson.

Arrangements were handled by Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Willis, Texas. Friends are invited to leave a written condolence to the family at its Web site, www.shmfh.com.

Robert Patterson

Robert L. Patterson, 66, of Boulder City, died Sept. 26.

The 24-year resident was born June 15, 1942, in Arizona. A U.S. Army veteran, Patterson worked for the National Park Service for 32 years, retiring in 2004. After retirement he worked at the Boulder Creek Golf Club.

Patterson is survived by his wife of 42 years, Patsy Patterson; son, Steve Patterson and wife, Amy; stepsons Wayne Cordery and wife, Linda, and Russell Cordery and wife, Sharon; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Oct. 2 at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City. Interment will follow. Arrangements were handled by Boulder City Family Mortuary.
