Putting Nevada’s Families First

“Putting Nevada’s Families First.” The twist on the Bill Clinton campaign book — “Putting People First” — is the name Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto gave her upcoming rural Nevada tour. And I thought she was apolitical! Listen to this: “The purpose of these trips is to get out of the office and meet face-to-face with residents, to hear about their concerns and talk about what our office can do to help out.” I am going into diabetic shock. Seems like a strange premise for an AG, but that’s me. With County Commissioner Rory Reid traveling to Reno, Speaker Barbara Buckley doing town hall meetings and Mayor Oscar Goodman telling people he will run, the Democratic gubernatorial primary could be crowded. A pundit’s delight.
