The Clark County coroner's office has identified a man found dead in an apartment near East Tropicana Avenue and Koval Lane as Eliseo Garcia, 41, of Las Vegas.
Metro Police and emergency medical crews arrived at the apartment in the 4700 block of Deckow Lane about 8:30 a.m. Sunday and found Garcia whose face had been beaten, police said.
The coroner's office has not listed a cause of death.
Metro Police detectives investigating the incident learned that the man had attended a party at another apartment building on Saturday night, police said.
The man was injured during an altercation with other party goers and returned to his apartment where he apparently died of his injuries the next morning, police said.
Anyone having information about this homicide is urged to call either Metro Police homicide section at 828-3521, or Crime Stoppers at 385-5555, if they wish to remain anonymous and possibly be eligible for a cash reward.
