First quarter:
- Palo Verde could not have asked for a better start to a Regional championship. Senior Torin Harris intercepted Bishop Gorman quarterback Joe Huber one minute into the game and returned it 47 yards for the opening score.
- On the Panthers first possession, Harris broke a 70-yard touchdown run to put Palo Verde on top 14-0 with 6:45 left in the first quarter. Sixty-two seconds after that score, junior Daniel Godkin sacked Huber for a safety to extend the Panthers' early lead, 16-0.
- Del Sol leads Las Vegas High 6-0 after the first quarter thanks to a 13-yard touchdown pass from Saei Huihui to Tim Lawson with 5:55 remaining in the quarter.
Second quarter:
- Bishop Gorman finally lit up the scoreboard as Jordan Welte punched in a one-yard touchdown run to cut the Gaels' deficit to 16-7 with 11:07 remaining in the first half.
- Del Sol flashed its ground game brilliance as Derek Eamon scored on a seven-yard touchdown run to open the second quarter. Eamon was stuffed on the two-point try, but the Dragons still lead 12-0.
- Bishop Gorman is right back in it thanks to a 46-yard bomb from Huber to Xavier Grimble with 3:23 left in the first half. The Gaels now trail by only two, 16-14.
- Las Vegas running back Reggie Bullock found the end zone on a one-yard touchdown dive. The Wildcats are still behind 12-7 with 4:06 left in the quarter.
- Palo Verde missed its second field goal attempt of the night as time expired in the first half with the Panthers still on top 16-14.
- Del Sol leads Las Vegas 12-7 at halftime.
Third quarter:
- Palo Verde's Harris has done it again. Harris took a direct snap 15 yards for his third touchdown of the night. The Panther now lead 23-14 with 8:01 remaining in the third quarter.
- Del Sol's Dante Hall capped off a 17 play, 84-yard drive with a one yard touchdown drive to hand the Dragons a convincing 20-7 lead with 4:06 left in the quarter. That touchdown drive was fueled by a successful fake punt.
- Las Vegas answered back immediately, however, to bring the Wildcats within one score, 20-14.
- Palo Verde's Torrin Harris is unstoppable tonight. The senior running back just notched his fourth touchdown of the game with a nine-yard run. The Panthers have now opened up a 30-14 lead over the Gaels with 2:57 remaining in the quarter.
- Palo Verde is turning this contest into a blowout. With 16 seconds left in third quarter, Kelly Zurowski connected with Tyrone Blake for a 10-yard touchdown pass. The extra point was no good, but the Panthers lead 36-14 at the end of the quarter.
- Del Sol's Tayib Dada returned a Lopez fumble 62 yards for a touchdown. Eamon caused the fumble on a blitz and the Dragons are now on top 28-14 at the end of the third quarter.
Fourth quarter:
- Bishop Gorman's defense has no answer for Palo Verde's offense as Chaz Thomas broke a 58-yard touchdown run to extend the Panthers' lead 43-14 with 10:49 remaining in the game.
- Palo Verde is certainly getting revenge for last year's Regiona title loss to Bishop Gorman's. Sidney Hodge scampered 57 yards for another Panthers score to put his team up 50-14 with 9:24 left in the game.
- Las Vegas' Lopez scrambled for a 20-yard touchdown with 4:29 to play. The Wildcats now trail just 28-21.
- Lopez continues to pour on the magic as the Las Vegas senior quarterback added a 15-yard touchdown run with 2:25 left in the game to tie the Dragons 28-28.
- Las Vegas has pulled off the miracle. Bullock broke a 25-yard touchdown run with 27 seconds remaining in the game. The Wildcats have hung on to win the Sunrise Regional title 35-28.
- Palo Verde continues its perfect season with a 50-14 Sunset Regional championship bashing of Bishop Gorman.
- The two Regional champions Palo Verde and Las Vegas will square off in the state semifinals at Arbor View High School on Saturday Nov. 29 at 1 p.m.
