Ask Mr. Sun:
Vegas Vic, meet Mr. Sun

What happened to Vegas Vic?
•••
Vegas Vic sends his best. He wanted me, Mr. Sun, to tell you he’s no longer able to juggle answering your questions with all the smoking and waving and whatnot.
But that’s obviously an excuse — like CEOs and politicians who step down to spend more time with the dog.
Here’s what has really happened. Vegas Vic, it turns out, is owned by Archon Corp., parent company of the Pioneer Hotel & Gambling Hall. They have a trademark covering the cowboy from the tip of his hat to the heels of his boots, and they have attorneys to remind people of that fact.
Were Vic to continue here he’d have to have a trademark symbol and some legalese in tow. It just wouldn’t be the same.
But Vic’s departure has created an opening for Mr. Sun to get in on the fun. Your questions will still get answered, so keep sending them.
And, yes, that’s Mr. Sun to you.
Questions for Mr. Sun should be sent to page8@lasvegassun.com.
