Cashman Equipment Co. has begun its move into its new energy-efficient facility at 3300 St. Rose Parkway, Henderson.

The Power Solutions division, based in North Las Vegas, and the rental equipment operation, on Parkson Road in Henderson, opened Nov. 3 in the new location, which is certified under Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design guidelines. About 60 employees moved.

Cashman Cat, the rental store for Caterpillar equipment, is in a building of more than 23,000 square feet that includes on-site rental equipment service bays. Cashman Cat now has an expanded line of equipment including Airstar and Spectra Lasers, floor displays of the latest equipment and a new corporate dispatch department.

The new Power Solutions building is more than 32,000 square feet and features diagnostic capabilities, service bays for both off-highway and on-highway vehicles, electrical testing, and oversized parking areas.

"Our customers are going to see our efficiency increase significantly," Joel Larson, director of Power Solutions, said in a statement.

Cashman Equipment was founded in 1931 by James "Big Jim" Cashman. It is one of the largest privately owned employers in Nevada.
