WEATHER:
Warm temps, calm winds reach the goal today
Fri, Nov 7, 2008 (9:37 a.m.)
The daytime temperature could reach 71 degrees today and winds will be calm in the Las Vegas Valley, a perfect day to enjoy the outdoors whether in the park on at football games tonight.
The low tonight is expected to drop to 49 degrees.
Then Saturday afternoon will warm up to 74 degrees before cool air swoops down from the Pacific Northwest into Southern Nevada bringing winds, the National Weather Service said.
Over Saturday night the winds will pick up and temperatures will drop into the high 40s to low 50s before the weather system brings a chance of showers for Sunday morning.
Once the storm system heads for the Rockies late Sunday, cooler fall weather is expected in the valley for the beginning of the week.
