A Metro Police helicopter landed shortly after noon today at Fremont and Bruce streets after a mechanical failure, Metro Police said.
The helicopter reportedly made a hard landing, but there were no injuries, police said.
Two pilots in the helicopter were on a routine patrol when the helicopter had the mechanical failure with a part that controls engine speed, a police spokesman said. The helicopter landed without incident and is expected to be repaired on site.
