Library Friends treated poorly

Although I agree with Library District Executive Director Dan Walters’ asking for an audit, I think he handled the situation poorly. If I were volunteering my time and efforts for an organization, I would expect a lot better treatment than he gave The Friends of Southern Nevada Libraries.
The key here is the word “volunteer.” The Friends of Southern Nevada Libraries are not paid employees. Times have changed. Audits are necessary. But after 34 years, the Friends deserved better.
