flashpoint:
The winners and losers
Tue, May 20, 2008 (2 a.m.)
So who were the winners and losers at the state Democraticconvention? The Barack Obama campaign garnered national attention for stealing an extra delegate and probably two because an add-on will be an Obama vote, too. So that makes the Obamaites winners and the Clintonites losers. But it wasn’t that surprising, considering the prevailing political winds. The Culinary Union had a mixed bag helping the Obama folks pilfer the delegate but losing when one of its former workers, state Sen. Maggie Carlton, was crushed in her bid for national committeewoman. No comparison in importance, but guess which one the party crazies care about more? And that’s why these events never cease to amaze after all this time.

It's my party and I'll LIE if I want to...
I had the chance to read yesterday's flash about Rebecca Lambe (don't worry Jon, it wasn't forwarded to me, I just was able to read it off of a subscriber's PDA). You described her as Nevada's best political brain. Well, I'm sorry to burst your bubble (and hers), but she was out-thought by one Erin Bilbray, despite the cheating and lying (not to mention what must be 10's of thousands of dollars of Culinary members' dues) that went on by Rebecca and her lackies at the state party and the lame political "leadership" of the Culinary union (aka Pilar). I guess that's why Rebecca gets called "the best in Nevada" by you, but Erin gets called "the best and the brightest" in the whole country by US News and World Report.
Rebecca is a second rate hack, who couldn't organize her way out of a paper bag, let alone win an election. Don't forget that her husband is a paid Republican operative.
Call me a "crazie" or a "loonie" if you want, but activists win elections. Having watched you and read you for years, I KNOW you know better.
