LETTER TO THE EDITOR:
GOP oil men responsible for energy crisis
Mon, May 19, 2008 (2:05 a.m.)
Don’t be conned into believing the Republicans when they blame the Democrats for the energy crisis we’re experiencing. Know that President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney are experienced oil people.
They know oil, but apparently precious little about other forms of energy. Know also that the Republicans controlled Congress from 1994 until 2006. During this time the Democrats made repeated attempts to pass legislation requiring the Detroit car makers to make more fuel efficient vehicles, only to see their efforts blocked by the Republicans.
It was the same for Democratic attempts to subsidize solar energy panels, wind towers, geothermal sources for electric power and other concepts that would have helped reduce our need for foreign oil — all blocked by the Republicans.
So if you see a blindfolded Republican trying to pin the energy crisis tail on the Democratic donkey, redirect him to the GOP elephant, were it belongs.

The usual Sun "form letter" whose whine has already been destroyed in the last weeks here in comment.
The Republicans didn't "control Congress" from 1994-2006.
Choking supplies IS the cause, along with the bogus and injurious Global Warming guilt scam = both of which ar the responsibility and blame to lib-DemocRATs.
Just another form letter to Campbell....
Wow, NVMarkz, you type LIKE A PATHETIC, REPUBLICAN ASS-KISSER. Do you do research, or even remember the past? YES, REPUBLICANS DID HAVE THE MOST SEATS IN CONGRESS BETWEEN THE YEARS 1995 AND 2007.
Well NVMARKZ, It appears as though your knowledge of history is at best 1st grade level. I only hope and pray that those of you that are so well versed in so much and still have not the sense to come in out of a rain storm never find your way to a high level position. God save you from yourselves and God Bless America.
When I can cause such weak, vapid responses = well, thank you. Again, the "form letter" had been destroyed here over the last weeks. Live with your delusions.......
