Letter to the editor:

Overpopulation drains world water supplies

Thursday, May 8, 2008 | 2:03 a.m.

China can’t be all wrong. One child, maybe two children every other family sounds just about right to me.

The more people there are on the planet the more water that is needed to drink and bathe and water lawns and golf courses not to mention fill water displays at casinos.

Let’s not forget how many people go to bed hungry because there isn’t enough food for them, and in the United States, too. It is damnable, disgraceful.

Either there isn’t water to grow crops or the soil is of poor grade, or whatever other reasons there are. What will America’s population count be in 32 years, India’s count? How long before we’ll be able to leapfrog over Stream Mead to reach Arizona, thus making the current bridge construction wasted money? Even Great Lakes levels are down.
