LETTER TO THE EDITOR:
Ignoring Clinton votes is just plain wrong
Saturday, May 3, 2008 | 2:03 a.m.
I am a delegate for Hillary Clinton to the state Democratic convention for only one reason: She is the best candidate. I have been a Democrat for more than 50 years and will be proud when she becomes president. A woman president — now that’s change.
Meanwhile, the Democratic leadership refuses to recognize votes in Michigan and Florida because those states voted out of turn. Why should two states’ taxpaying people, good citizens who performed their patriotic duty to choose the leadership of this great country, be punished?
The folks who voted did not create this problem; it was the state leadership there and the problem was compounded by the (brainless) heads of the Democratic Party. Punish those states’ leaders, not the innocent voters who wish to and should be able to perform their constitutionally given right, the right to vote and make a difference.
By the way, if Obama had won in either Michigan or Florida would the vote have counted? You bet it would. My Party, shame on you.

Yes, typical stupid Democratic move. And these guys think they should be running the country?
STUPID!!!
I totaly agree with Barry, we do need a change in the White House, a woman president would be a good change for this country. Men have had this position for years, now it time to see what a woman can do. Forget the fact that Obama is black he is still a man so thereof there is no change in the policatal arena. I also feel the votes for Michigan and Florida should have counted.
Michigan and Florida "fought the law, and the law won", so to speak.
Both states hosed themselves, the major candidates SIGNED OFF ON THE APPLICABLE RULES that both states won't be counted, including Hillary.
Neither state should and by their own laws be counted, irrespective of recent whining and pouting.
So a woman will make a big change, huh? You say so because there's an assumption that women are not prone to corruption than men.
Just think, if we elected more women to the Clark county commission we would eliminate all of the "good Old Boys" wheeling and dealing in the cigar filled back rooms.
That was the comment made when the great changeover of the commission was made during the 1990's. Now you need to go to prison to talk to those same women, "who were going to make changes".
Are you the Barry Pearlstein that is married to my sister Rosalyn. If so, I have been trying to reach you guys but you have a unlisted (Grrrr) phone number. My cell phone number is 607-280-7236
