flashpoint:
I don’t know if I can take another “I told you so”
Wed, Jun 11, 2008 (2 a.m.)
So Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid told the newspaper
that provides the expensive wrapping paper for the Sun that Barack Obama will win Nevada in November. This is hardly news, the Democratic leader’s saying the presumptive Democratic nominee will win his state. Some people gave Reid a hard time — and I was among them — when he boldly foretold of 100,000 Nevadans turning out for the Jan. 19 caucus. I thought he was insane. And after he nailed the turnout, Reid did not hesitate to say “I told you so.” And he seemed to enjoy doing it. I would like to say I believe John McCain will win the state, despite his Yucca and sports betting stances, simply based on history. But I don’t know if I can take another “I told you so” from the senior senator.
