Three Metro Police officers who were wounded Sunday while serving a warrant on a Seven Hills home have been released from University Medical Center and are recovering, Metro spokesmen said.

Metro's SWAT team was serving a narcotics warrant at the home just before 10 p.m. when an occupant shot at officers as they entered, police said.

Police arrested Emmanuel Dozier, 32, and booked him into the Clark County Detention Center on suspicion of three counts of attempted murder of a police officer and three counts of sale of cocaine. He was being held on $3 million bail.

Dozier appeared in Henderson Justice Court today via video from the detention center. No attorney appeared in his behalf. Justice of the Peace Rodney Burr set an arraignment for Jan. 5.

KLAS Channel 8 reported that a woman who lived in the home said police did not announce that they were coming in the house and that the man who fired on them, who neighbors said is her boyfriend, believed he was protecting the home from intruders.

In a statement, Metro Lt. Lew Roberts said Dozier fired on the officers through the door as they attempted to enter the home, and that he surrendered a short time later.

A 911 call was made from the home during the raid, Metro officer Jacinto Rivera, a spokesman, said, and Henderson dispatchers, who took the call, told the caller that it was Metro Police at the door, not intruders.

Metro Police have jurisdiction throughout Clark County, Rivera said.

"We have concurrent jurisdiction," he said. "We go where crime takes us."

Henderson police were given information about the raid before it occurred as a professional courtesy, he said.
