Good news for those remaining snowmen out there — another cold, but sunny day is in store for the Las Vegas Valley.
Temperatures in the valley were hovering around the freezing mark this morning.
Areas of fog may form in some location before 10 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.
Today's skies are expected to be mostly sunny with a high reaching only 44 degrees, forecasters said.
The normal high for today's date is 56 degrees and the record high was 68 degrees, set in 1942. The normal low for today is 36 degrees, with the record low of 22 set in 1945.
The weather service says a storm system passing by could bring some windy conditions today and tonight to the Las Vegas Valley.
However, the valley won't get any more snow or rain from the nearby storm, the weather service said.
Tonight's forecast calls for skies to be partly cloudy, with a low around 30 degrees and north-northwest wind between 5 and 9 mph.
A quiet weekend is ahead. Saturday will see partly cloudy skies and a high near 46 during the day and a low around 31 Saturday night, forecasters said.
Sunday will be partly sunny, with a high near 51 degrees. Sunday night's low will be around 35.
Another storm system will bring an increase in winds and a chance for more precipitation Monday and Tuesday, the weather service said. There's a 20 percent chance of rain on Monday with a high near 49 degrees.
And still another storm may roll through Wednesday and Thursday, forecasters said. That storm "could produce significant precipitation," the weather service said.

Meanwhile, where I am in Canada, it feels like it's 22 below fahrenheit factoring in the wind. This is actually the warmest its been in a week and right now it is snowing (for the third time this week). We all went to work today and the kids walked to school.
Hope you all survive your encounter with snow!
I think its time to burn Algore for fuel to keep warm.
Ha, you think you're so tough with all your experience with cold weather in Canada. Let's see how you handle a sudden change to 115 degrees with 7% humidity.
Fred: "Yabber, Dabber, Doo!"
Hey Craig88:
Is that still up hill both ways with no shoes on?
Be careful Fred, you might end up with a pile of Canadians on your doorstep who are willing to take you up on your challenge.
And much as I'd like to say up hill both ways with no shoes on, this is the prairies. There isn't a hill in sight.
It seems like everyone down south likes to act tough by saying they can handle extremely hot weather. Come drop by North Dakota - In the winter it can get to -40 (colder with windchill), in the summer I've seen it as hot as 110. I've felt the extremes, and I'll have to say the cold is far worse.
