Faith Lutheran Jr/Sr High School's new chapel/performing arts center will welcome its inaugural performance Friday as the school's middle school students take the stage to perform "Little Women."

Director Karen Pullman said the play, which was double cast with 22 sixth to eighth grade students, will be a thought-provoker with several themes running through it.

As the director of the first play in the new space, Pullman said with a laugh that she's excited but she's also terrified.

"It's just an extraordinary stage, especially for middle school students. No middle school anywhere has this kind of stage," she said.

Plus, she said, the play is a little tough because its a lot of memorization without a lot of action.

Theater director Erik Ball said "Little Women" is the perfect play to inaugurate the new building.

"Karen is bringing together a tale of girls coming to age and who you'll see is a group of young enthusiastic middle school actors and actresses coming into their own in a new space," he said.
