Bush dishonors his office, American people

After watching Katie Couric’s recent interview on “60 Minutes” with Valerie Plame, I feel compelled to comment on yet another breach of honesty by George Bush.

Plame was a CIA operative when she was “outed” by the Bush White House.

The date of her outing was July 14, 2003, and at that time Plame was working on a top priority for the White House, the result of a call from Vice President Dick Cheney’s staffers.

After her CIA identity was revealed, President Bush stated that if anyone in his administration outed a CIA operative, he would take appropriate action in dealing with that informant.

Subsequently, Scooter Libby was convicted of lying to special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald. A grand jury found him guilty, and he was sentenced.

When President Bush received the news of Scooter Libby’s conviction, he took the appropriate action. Bush almost immediately nullified Libby’s conviction by commuting his sentence.

That lie by George W. Bush, combined with all the other lies perpetrated on the American public, casts him as the most unethical and least trustworthy president to ever occupy the White House.

President Clinton was impeached by the House, but Bill Clinton never revealed the identity of a CIA agent. That dishonor belongs to George W. Bush and George W. Bush alone.

Richard Armitage, second-in-hierarchy in the State Dept in the early Bush Administration to Colin Powell - was THE person who "outed" Plame to Robert Novak. Novak then tried to confirm via Karl Rove and Scooter Libby and others.

Such information IS and HAS BEEN public knowledge ever since Novak was released from under Patrick Fitzgerald's iron-fisted witch-hunt.

Fitzgerald KNEW that Armitage was the leaker from VERY early on - even before Novak sat down with him under oath. YET, he enabled the 24/7 lying liberal in three years of lying propaganda attacks on the Administration.

Millions spent in prosecution and defense - reputations ruined - three years of 24/7 unfair and lying attacks upon the Bush Administration - families put through hell - a "special prosecutor" who ran amuck and on and on...

AND, still with the facts, the Sun prints this lie to we all.

This letter is indicative of the lies the Sun foists upon its readership. The disgrace here is the Sun's for publishing such lies.

History will smile VERY kindly on the Presidency of George W. Bush AND tell the facts of the lies liberals spin to undermine our nation.

The mainstream media is just now realizing he is bad. We ousted the wrong dictator, Saddam never did anything to us; Bush however has damaged America far more than any terrorist.

Wow, again your personal opinion, so happy to read all your personal agendas everyday. Don't worry, my two sons serve in the military to protect your rights to do as you please. They dont feel dishonored, nor do I. And, we are American.

Libby was convicted of lying not to outing Plame. The facts were known to the prosecutor when this started and Libby was convicted totally on political motives. The democratic leaders did not say a word about their darling Armitage being the one that leaked, he's one of theirs.

IMS, Colin Powell was told by Armitage early on and kept this "secret", as his former "arena of command", if you will, was under attack from within.

A highest-level commander of decades of military service - who doesn't warn his former compatriots (and the institution he worked SO well and hard for, imo) of danger? Politics from the end of his tenure as SecState?? Some payback, maybe?

THREE YEARS of Day after Day after Day of lies by the Liberal Smear Directorate (LSD again, eh?), attacking everyone who smelled like fresh meat. This all, especially, when it was SO dishonest, SO corrosive and SO vicious of a LIE!
