flashpoint:
National Clean Energy Summit
Wed, Aug 13, 2008 (2 a.m.)
So the big National Clean Energy Summit will be here next week at Cox Pavilion with a host of luminaries scheduled to appear at what seems to be a production of Harry Reid Inc. The festivities feature opening remarks from former President Clinton and local and national big names, including uncoal convert T. Boone Pickens, Citigroup boss Robert Rubin, congressional contender Dina Titus (how did that happen?), some mayors and three Western governors. Yes, the chief executives of Utah, Colorado and Arizona will be there. But for some strange reason, the governor of the host state is not on the program. Doesn’t
Sen. Reid know that Gov. Jim Gibbons is as green as they come?
